In the last series of his paintings, entitled "The Collection of Figures", Grzegorz Bienias exploited the experience of the previous stages of his creation. What has been created now is closely related to what had been created before, concerning both the literary content and the structural features. In the new series of paintings we recognize the same painter whom we have already known as the Author of the big size works painted canvas and on paper. The literary themes do not dominate in the type of painting practised by Bienias. The Author avoids the conversation concerning the subjects of his paintings. He prefers to recall the connections between his works and cinema, theatre, photography. He talks about the meanings of his dreams and imagination. His paintings, especially when the whole artistic output of Bienias is viewed at the same time, make the impression that the Author tentatively reduces the univocal implications of his works.
The grotesque atmosphere dominates the Bienias' paintings on canvas. Elements of erotica and tension, anxiety and loneliness are clearly perceptible in works of Grzegorz Bienias.
The previous scenery has changed in two new paintings - the Author takes people out of the interior to the open air.
The harmony of colours in the paintings of Bienias has been attained spontaneously, as the spontaneity is the characteristic feature of the artistic style of this painter. Despite the fact that the Author stresses the role of an accident, his paintings are well ordered, compact and harmonised. The manner, in which the artistic substance is created - subtle and brutal at the same time, attracts the attention. The freshness of creation emanates from the paintings. Bienias has elaborated his own style. His paintings are painted and written at the same time. Written by the drawing, which plays a very important role in the creation of Bienias. The technique, frequently used in the painting of Bienias is monotype. The Artist changes the tone of his paintings, he wipes and washes out colour spots. He uses various artistic techniques and tools without limitations, gaining a very rich structure of his paintings. In the whole artistic output of Bienias the last series of paintings and the paintings on paper seem to be the most interesting, perfectly showing the unlimited invention of the Artist.
